Jersey is located near the coast of Normandy, France and is a self-governing dependency of the British Crown; Jersey is not part of the UK but is officially part of the British Islands with its own independent legal, and fiscal systems.

Currency
The currency accepted in Jersey is Sterling, however, Jersey does have its’ own currency – the Jersey Pound. You can pay with Sterling, and some shops may accept Euros Find out more here.

Jersey is part of the Common Travel Area, therefore if you’re a British Citizen you do not need a passport to travel to Jersey. You will need to bring a form of accepted photo ID - find the list here.
Travel Insurance
We recommend you take out travel insurance when visiting Jersey to cover you for healthcare costs or medical treatment. Jersey and the UK have a reciprocal healthcare agreement, however, only certain conditions are covered. See more information here.

Can you use your mobile phone in Jersey?
You can use your mobile phone in Jersey; however, UK mobile networks do not extend to Jersey. UK mobile networks tend to class making a call in Jersey as making an international call.
We recommend you check with your service provider for any information on charges for using your phone in Jersey.
