As the summer season is in full swing, I wanted to update you on current developments.
Dear valued customer,
The first important item of news is that Brittany Ferries is to become the majority owner of Condor following recent changes in the ownership structure. We need approval from the regulators in the Islands but this should be received in the next few weeks.
Brittany Ferries has the experience, expertise and scale, along with extensive knowledge of the transport sector and customer service to implement best practices, which ultimately will result in a better service for Condor’s passengers.
This demonstrates our commitment to the Islands, shows Brittany Ferries is adding strength and depth to the existing team and will deliver continuity and resilience in the long term.
Winter schedule unveiled
We launched our Winter schedule in June which takes us from 04 November through to 27 March 2025, with these key features:
Jersey-St Malo will operate three times per week in November and December
Guernsey-to St Malo is twice weekly in November and December
A NEW weekend service to St Malo with Commodore Clipper in January and early February to provide resilience
Nine round trips per week for passengers and freight between Portsmouth using Clipper and Islander
In continuing to support Condor in the Islands, successful berthing trials were carried out in both Islands using a second ship in June, the Bretagne.
She is a 153m long ropax, can carry 1,100 passengers and up to 600 cars and is a popular ship amongst Brittany Ferries’ passengers.
Trip Advisor Travellers' Choice Awards
We are delighted to confirm that we received a Travellers’ Choice award for the second year in succession, from Trip Advisor.
This recognises businesses that earn consistently great reviews and Travellers’ Choice award-winners are among the top 10% of listings.
Condor's Community Fund
Our Community Fund for 2024 has seen 55 applications received for grant funding from across the Islands. With an increased pot of £30,000 in 2024, we are supporting 22 initiatives in Jersey and Guernsey.
Community events: The Big Ocean Clean-Up
We recently sponsored an underwater beach clean in Jersey to celebrate World Ocean Week. Divers, snorkelers, and paddle boarders united on the north coast of Jersey, rolling up their sleeves to tackle debris and microplastics that threaten our precious marine ecosystem:
I am committed to supporting Condor, its passengers and clients into the long term.
