Our new and improved ferry crossings from Guernsey to the UK are easy with Brittany Ferries. Our new services offer major improvements in service levels, timings, and value for money. In our new schedule, all sailings are direct, with convenient departure and arrival times.
We offer 2 ferry routes between Guernsey and England. From Guernsey to Poole, we sail between 4 to 6 times a week each way, offering earlier arrivals to Poole and later departures back to Guernsey.
From Guernsey to Portsmouth we sail 6 times a week, with overnight sailings back from Portsmouth, enabling longer days in the UK.

Our Guernsey-Portsmouth sailing via Cherbourg leaves the Common Travel Area and is therefore subject to UK re-entry requirements. If travelling on this service, please ensure you have the correct documentation.
Pets travelling on this route do not require additional documentation as they are in transit.
Direct sailings between Guernsey and the UK are not affected.
The States of Guernsey and Brittany Ferries are seeking an exemption for passengers who remain on board in Cherbourg. We are awaiting a decision and will update our guidance if this is granted.
Sailing to the UK from Guernsey
Going by sea to the UK from Guernsey means you can pack all your holiday must-haves into your car without any luggage restrictions. If you’re travelling to Poole from Guernsey, you’ll be sailing onboard Voyager – one of our high-speed ferries. Unlike air travel, you’ll be spoilt for choice onboard between treating yourself to a bite to eat and grabbing a bargain in the Adore duty free shop. Portsmouth is the other port you can sail to from Guernsey. You’ll be sailing onboard Islander. This can take around 7 hours 35 minutes overnight depending on the sailing.
