Over 100 WWII-era military vehicles arrived in Guernsey from Poole on a special sailing this week, ahead of the Island’s 80th Liberation anniversary.
Willys jeeps, ambulances, motorcycles, German amphibious cars and a range of lorries — including Humber Heavy Utility and Canadian Military Pattern trucks — are now on the island.
More vehicles, including gun tractors and half-tracks, are arriving from Portsmouth today and tomorrow.
They’ll join a 350-vehicle cavalcade on Friday, 09 May, with participants coming from across the UK and as far as Nijmegen, Netherlands.
These amazing photos are by Tony Rive, Guernsey and are used with his permission.
