We sponsored a group from St Saviour’s, Guernsey on a recent visit to their twin town, Montebourg, for La Foire de la Chandeleur, a traditional cattle fair and market in Montebourg, Normandy.
Twinned since 1993, the parishes share strong connections through yearly visits.
The event welcomed 5,000 visitors and was a fantastic platform to showcase Guernsey produce.
Highlights included culinary competitions for pigs’ trotters, tripe and tarte aux pommes, with two tonnes of tripe sold over three days!
